Welcome to CEAPP

The Corpus of English for Academic and Professional Purposes (CEAPP) is an online corpus of videos and their transcripts of naturally occurring interactions collected from instructional settings. Housed and curated by the Center for Research on English Language Teaching and Learning at The Pennsylvania State University, the database includes data from university-level intensive ESL and STEM classrooms.  It also includes the ClassBank database, collected from a variety of classrooms.

CEAPP's browse and search capabilities enable researchers and language teaching practitioners to conduct cross-case, cross-corpora comparisons on various interactional practices in instructional settings. The addition of new data is ongoing; new features will be added as they become available.
